Geography
Length - 37 km. The pool area is 286 km². The riverbed in the upper reaches (Leskovka village) - 151.6 m.
The valley is trapezoidal, indented by beams. Right banks are higher and cooler. The channel is underdeveloped. It is used for the needs of agriculture and fish farming.
The river flows from the southeast to northwest. The river originates on the northern outskirts of the village of Zaryabinka ( Bogodukhovsky district ). It flows into the Vorskla River (at the 296th km from its mouth), immediately north of the village of Ryabin ( Velikopisarevsky district ).
On the middle course of the river at the confluence of the beams, the Voskresenevskoye reservoirs (area 1.58 km², volume 3.77 m³) and Matveevskoye (area 1.18 km², volume 2.485 m³), as well as several ponds, are located in the middle course. Voskresenyevskoe reservoir was created in 1970 for irrigation, Matveevskoye in 1974 for irrigation and fish farming. In the floodplain of the river (except for the upper reaches) in some places there are wetlands with reed vegetation. At the confluence of Berezovka (east of Maisky), on the right bank of the river is the Krestovaya Mogila burial mound (164.2 m), to the south of the mound is the Komarov Yar beam, as well as two sources to the north and south of the mound.
