Baron de Ramsay

Ramsay Abbey, the former clan residence of the Barons Ramsay

Baron de Ramsay of Ramsey Abbey in Huntingdonshire County is an ancestral title in the United Kingdom Paternity system . It was created on July 8, 1887 for the conservative politician Eduard Fellows (1809–1887), who had previously represented the Huntingdonshire in the House of Commons from the conservative party for 43 years (1837–1880). Eduard Fellows was the second son of William Henry Fellows (1769–1837), who represented Huntingdon (1796–1800, 1801–1807) and Huntingdonshire (1807–1830) in the House of Commons of Great Britain. The younger brother of the first lord was Richard Fellows Benion (1811–1897), who was a member of parliament from Berkshire (1860–1876) and served as the supreme sheriff of Berkshire in 1857.

The eldest son of the first Lord de Ramsay, William Henry Fellows, 2nd Baron de Ramsay (1848–1925), served in the House of Commons from Huntingdonshire (1880–1885) and Ramsay (1885–1887), and then served as the Lord on hold from 1890 to 1892 in the administration of the conservative Lord Salisbury . His grandson, Ailvin Edward Fellows, 3rd Baron de Ramsay (1910-1993), was Lord Lieutenant of Huntingdonshire (1947-1965) and Huntingdon and Peterborough (1965-1968).

As of 2014, the title holder was the son of the latter, John Aylvin Fellows, 4th Baron de Ramsay (born 1942), who succeeded his father in 1993 .

Aylvin Fellows, 1st Baron Aylvin (1855–1924), was the youngest son of the first Baron de Ramsay.
