Bootseim ( fr. Bootzheim ) is a commune in northeastern France in the Grand Est region [1] (formerly Alsace-Champagne-Ardennes-Lorraine ), Lower Rhine department , Celeste-Hersten district , canton Celeste [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton Markolsheim (Celeste-Hersten county).

Economy
In 2010, out of 442 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 363 were economically active , 79 were inactive (an activity indicator of 82.1%, in 1999 - 76.5%). Of the 363 active able-bodied residents, 316 people (169 men and 147 women) worked, 47 were unemployed (20 men and 27 women). Among 79 able-bodied inactive citizens, 31 were pupils or students , 23 were retired , and another 25 were inactive for other reasons [9] [10] .
