Geography
The city is located about 545 km north-east of Bangkok and 150 km west of Udon Thani . Located on the left bank of the river Lei .

As of 2015, the population of the city is 21,906 people. The population density is 1765 people / km². The male population (50.3%) slightly exceeds the female population (49.7%) [1] .
