History
The village of Serednye is indicated on a special map of the western part of Russia by F. F. Schubert of 1844 [2] .
MIDDLE-VILLAGE - a village with the estate of Fedoselsky society, the parish of Petrovsky-Pchevzhinsky.
Peasant households - 26. Buildings - 75, including residential - 36.
The number of inhabitants according to the family lists of 1879: 65 m. P.; according to the parish records of 1879: 57 m. P.
Manor: Buildings - 10, including residential buildings - 3. Number of residents according to parish records in 1879: 5 metro stations, 5 railways. p. [3]
At the end of the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the Nedashetsky volost of the 1st camp, at the beginning of the 20th century - to the Nedashetsky volost of the 2nd camp of the 2nd zemsky section of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .

According to the map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of 1915, the village of Srednoye Selo consisted of 20 yards, a Lyakhov stream flowed through the village, on which there was a water mill [5] .
From 1917 to 1918, the village of Srednoye Selo was part of the Nedashetsky volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.

The village is located in the southeastern part of the district on the highway 41K-547 ( Budogoshch - Polovinnik ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 18 km [13] .
The distance to the Goryatino railway platform is 6 km [8] .
To the north of the village is the Lyakhovo stream and the Pchevzha river.
