Romovaam

Romovaam is a river in the Russian Far East . It flows through the territory of the Chaunsky district of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug . The river is 45 km long [2] .

The name translated from Chukot. - β€œdry river”, by the abundance of dried shrubs on the banks [3] .

It takes its origins on the northern slopes of Vodorazdelnaya [4] , smoothly bending an arc along the southern slopes of Solnechnaya [5] , flows in the latitudinal direction along the territory of the Chaun Lowland (downstream, surrounded by swamps and small lakes) [6] , flows into Konevaam on the left [ 7] . The height of the mouth is 163 [6] m above sea level.

Tributaries (from the mouth): Green, Meeting, Swampy, Open, Radial, and several nameless streams.

Along the left bank of the Romovaam River runs the southern border of the Chaunskaya Guba regional wildlife sanctuary [8] .
