Coat of arms of Sanchursky district

Description of the coat of arms ^[1] :

In the golden field there is a blue horseshoe with two spikes down, inside of which there is a black sitting buzzard with scarlet paws and a beak and a silver eye.

Justification of the symbolism ^[2] :

The emblem in the language of symbols and allegories conveys the historical, cultural, natural and economic features of the area.

The buzzard bird indicates a symbolic connection with the historical emblem of the district center - the former city of Tsarevosanchursk, and now the village of Sanchursk (Sanchursky urban settlement), which gave the name to the district.

The azure horseshoe allegorically indicates a natural feature - the Kokshaga River in the district makes a loop resembling a horseshoe in shape that encircles the district center. In addition, the horseshoe symbolizes the happiness and richness of craftsmanship traditions, and the horseshoe embodies the firm will to follow the famous accomplishments of the ancestors.

The golden color of the field is a symbol of wealth, agricultural orientation of the district economy.

• June 18, 2014 ( 2014-06-18 ) - the coat of arms of the district was approved by the decision of the Sanchursky District Duma ^[1] .

The emblem used the motifs of the historical coat of arms compiled by the heraldmeister Volkov in 1781 for the city of Tsarevosanchursk ^[3] :

In the upper part of the shield is the coat of arms of Vyatka, in the lower part in a silver field on a meadow there is a walking bird called a buzzard, which are very numerous in the vicinity of this city.
