Osota ( Ukrainian: Osota ) is the left tributary of the Desna River flowing through the Shostka district of the Sumy region of Ukraine.

Geography
Length - 31 km. The catchment area is 290 km². The channel in the estuary section is located at an altitude of 120.2 m above sea level, in the middle course ( Klishki village) - 129.0 m. The trough-shaped valley is 2.2 km wide and 15 m deep. The floodplain is up to 500 m wide. underdeveloped, up to 4 m wide.
The river originates in the wetland between Voronezh and Gukovo ( Glukhovsky district ). The river flows only in the Shostka district ( Sumy region ). Throughout the length of the river, floodplain in places with wetlands and reed vegetation. Several ponds were created on the river реке in Voronezh, in the villages of Klishka and Chaplievka . On the eastern outskirts of Voronezh, the upper part of the river is crossed by the railway line of the Voronezh - Shostka section. A system of canals is located in the estuary of the river between the rivers Esmani and Osota. It flows into the Desna river north of the village of Pogorelovka ( Krolevetsky district ).
In the river valley, the Voronezh Botanical Reserve is located - west of Voronezh on the site of a pine forest.
