He died on October 6, 2018 in the city of Toulouse, France. He was buried at the Khovansky cemetery in Moscow.

Biography
Born July 14, 1938 in Moscow .
In 1960 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University .
In 1963 he defended his thesis, topic: "Some problems of the theory of optimal control in infinite-dimensional spaces."
In 1970 he defended his doctoral dissertation, topic: "On local properties of pseudodifferential operators of the main type."
He worked at Moscow State University from 1961 to 1992, during the period from 1973 to 1992 - as a professor in the Department of Differential Equations of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.
Since 1992 - Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France.
Works in the field of: differential equations, equations of mathematical physics, spectral theory, theory of optimal control.
Major works: “Linear differential equations of the main type” (1984), the manual “Lectures on partial differential equations. Additional chapters ”(1985).
