Seitovka (Sәetlәr, Säyetlär) is a village in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Astrakhan region , the administrative center of the Seitov village council .

Geography

The village is located within the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain , which is part of the Caspian lowland , on the right bank of the Akhtuba River [2] , at an altitude of 26 meters below sea level [3] . Floodplain meadow soils [4] .

The village is located within the sanitary protection zone of the Astrakhan gas complex . Due to the negative environmental impact of the complex’s activities, Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR of August 17, 1990 No. 309 Seitovka was included in the list of settlements located in the 8-km sanitary protection zone of the Astrakhan gas complex, in the territory of which the coefficient for work in the desert and waterless areas in the amount of 1.35 to the wages of workers and employees [5] .

By road, the distance to the regional center of Astrakhan is 48 km, to the regional center of the village of Krasny Yar - 35 km [6] . A regional highway passes through the village; the highway Astrakhan - Volzhsky - Engels - Samara

Climate

The climate is sharply continental , extremely arid (according to the classification of Köppen-Geiger climates - BSk ). The average annual air temperature is + 9.7 ° C, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is 6.1 ° C, the hottest month of July is + 25.0 ° C. Estimated long-term rainfall is 214 mm. The least rainfall occurs in February (11mm), the largest in June (24mm) [3]

History

It was founded in 1788 on the left bank of the Akhtuba River at the source of the Bereket River. In 1874, moved to its present place [8] . Initially, the village had a wintering season, since in the spring-summer period the Nogais continued to wander along the left bank of Akhtuba. In the village lived an ethnic group of Nogais - Karagash , or otherwise, the Kundra Tatars [9] .

According to the list of populated areas of the Astrakhan province in 1859, there were 70 courtyards in the state-owned village of Seitovka, 6 mosques, a total of 2,829 male and 2,395 female souls [10] .

In 1918, the Seitov Volost was formed, which included the villages of Khozhetay , Dzhanay , Small Aral , Yasyn-Sokan. Since 1925, it was transformed into the Seitovsky village council of deputies of workers of the Krasnoyarsk region of the Astrakhan province [8] .

During the period of collectivization, a collective farm named after Kalinin was organized. In 1965, it merged with the collective farms named after Stalin and the name of Lenin in the village of Kuyanly, the collective farm "Leninsky Way" was formed with a central estate in the village of Seitovka [11] . Initially, the collective farm was fishing; in 1966, specialization was changed to crop production and cattle rearing. In 1992, the Leninsky Way collective farm was reorganized into the Leninsky Way SPK [12]
