Distribution

The Palaearctic (20 species), Madagascar (2 species), the Oriental region (2 species), the Nearctic (6 species), the Neotropics (15 species) [1] . In Europe, more than 10 species [2] [3] [4] .

Description

Small and medium sized wasp-betilides , black. Body length from 1.8 to 4.7 mm. Eyes and wings are developed. In the fore wing there are two closed cells: medial and submedial. Body and veins of wing in dark setae. Parasitoids of insect larvae, mainly beetles of Dermestidae , grinders, hoods [1] [2] [5] .
