Gaychur [1] ( Gaychul ) - a river in Ukraine , within the Bilmak , Pologovsky , Gulyaypol and Novonikolaevsky (partially) districts of the Zaporizhzhya region and the Pokrovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region . Left tributary of the Wolfs ( Dnieper basin).

Description
Length 130 km, catchment area 2140 km². The slope of the river is 1.1 m / km. The valley is trapezoidal, up to 4.5-5 km wide. The floodplain is bilateral. The channel is moderately meandering (in the lower reaches it is more meandering), in some areas it has been cleared and adjusted. Several ponds and a small reservoir were built. Used for water supply needs.
Location
Gaychur originates from sources near the village of Chervonoe Ozero . It flows mainly to the northwest, in the lower reaches to the north. It falls into Volchy near the village of Pisantsy , in the south-west of the village of Pokrovskoye .
Etymology
Gaychur is a Tatar name. It was here that the Tatar hordes concentrated before the raids on Zaporozhye and Left-Bank Ukraine . In Ukrainian, the name softens to Gaychul . That is how the river is mentioned by Dmitry Yavornitsky .

78 small rivers and streams flow into the Gaychur River (including 72 with a length of less than 10 km). The total length of the tributaries of Gaichur is 355 km (including streams of less than 10 km - 175 km). The density of the river network is 0.23 river lengths per km² of basin area.
