A clergyman in Alba who also girded Tsingulum
Alba ( lat. Alba - “white”) is a long white liturgical garment of Catholic and Lutheran clerics , girded with a rope. Wearing an alba is essential for a clergyman performing a liturgy . It is made of thin linen, cotton or wool. Comes from an ancient Roman long shirt worn under a tunic . Its counterparts in the Orthodox Church are the clergy and, among priests, the coddler .
