Bystrice nad Pernstejnem (Czech Bystřice nad Pernštejnem) is a town in the Czech Republic in the Zdar nad Sazavou region of the Vysočina region . It is located 24 km east of the town of Zdar nad Sazavou on the river Bistrshitse. On January 1, 2015, 8343 people lived in the city.

History
The village of Bistršice was founded in the 13th century . The first written mention of him dates back to 1298 . It received its name from the river Bistršice . In the 14th century, Bistršice became the economic and commercial center of the surrounding villages belonging to the Pänsteins .
In 1580, Bystršice received city status from King Rudolph II . In 1588, Jan IV from Pernstein sold the Pernstein Castle and its lands to the city of Brno . Soon Brno sold Bistršice to Vaclav Plesu Gerzhmansky from Slowon. In 1609, Bistršice bought Jan ейкake from Olbramowitz, who participated in the uprising against Ferdinand II and after the Battle of White Mountain he lost all his property, including Bistršica. The administration of the Bistršinsky Panstvo in 1621 was transferred to the imperial confidants Vaclav Zastrshizl and Jan Matyashovsky. In 1623, the Bistrshino pansy was sold to Count Jiří from Náchod.
In 1905, a railroad leading from Zdar nad Sazavou to Tišnova was laid to the city, thanks to which industry began to develop. The development of the Dolní Rozince uranium industry also contributed to the flourishing of the city. On May 10, 1925, the city of Bystrice was renamed Bistrsice nad Pernstein.
