Virac Dara

Virak Dara ( Khmer. វី រៈ តារា ; born July 7, 1947 , Kampot ) is a Cambodian film actress from 1960-1970. Born July 7, 1947 in Kampot province, the birth name is Kim Hiek, has a mixed Khmer-Vietnamese origin [1] . She starred in the role of Kong Rey in the movie "The Twelve Sisters" (1967), which became the most significant film in the history of Cambodian cinema [2] . The actress’s career ended with the Khmer Rouge coming to power in 1975, she was subjected to reprisals from the new regime, three tapes with her participation did not come out, were destroyed by the Khmer Rouge.
