Since graduation in a sports school in the city of Zugdidi in 2012, he began to play in the main team of the club of the same name [1] . Three years later, he moved to another Georgian club Guria [1] , and since 2016 he played in the Ukrainian first league for Chernihiv Desna [2] . With the club he became the silver and bronze medalist of the league [3] . In 2018, he played with Desna in the Ukrainian Premier League .
Biography
Pupil of the youth school of the club " Zugdidi ." The first coach is Boris Guguchia. After completing his studies in 2012, he was included in the main team. He was also offered to become a player of the Dynamo double in Tbilisi, but he refused, since he had already acted at the base of Zugdidi [1] [4] . Over three seasons he played 29 matches in the championship of Georgia . After the end of the contract, he decided to leave the club [1] [5] . In August 2015 he moved to Guria [1] [6] , for which he spent 13 matches in the championship and 3 in the Georgian Cup [5] .
In January 2016, he was invited to see the Ukrainian club Desna (Chernihiv) on the recommendation of the football player Levan Gulordava [7] . As part of the team, he took part in the Makarov Memorial , at which Desna became the finalist of the tournament [7] , passed training camps in Georgia and Western Ukraine [8] [9] . In March 2016, he signed a contract with Desna for a period of 3 years [10] [11] . On March 26 he made his debut in the First League of Ukraine , having entered the field in the starting lineup in an away match against Kharkiv Helios (1: 0). The selection of the ball in his performance led to an attack during which the only goal in the game was scored [1] [9] .
Speaking for the Desna, Koberidze entrenched in the lineup as the main defensive midfielder [2] . October 30, 2016 scored the first goal in his professional career, striking with a long shot the goal of Kiev Obolon [12] [13] . According to the results of the first half of the 2016/17 season , which the team finished in third place, it was included in the symbolic team of the first league according to the newspaper Sport-Express in Ukraine [14] . After the resumption of the championship in the spring of 2017, Desna completed the task for the season, prematurely securing a second place in the first league. According to the rules of the competition, the team was supposed to go to the Premier League , but the next season continued to play in the first league, as the Football Federation of Ukraine refused to provide it with a certificate for participation in the top division [3] [15] [16] .
The summer-fall part of the 2017/18 season was unsuccessful for Desna - the team that was tasked with upgrading the class went to the 5th place for the winter break [17] . In the Ukrainian Cup , Desna repeated its best result in history, reaching the quarter finals, where it lost to Dynamo Kyiv with a score of 0: 2 [18] [19] . According to the results of the first half of the year, Koberidze was recognized as one of the best central midfielders of the first league in the framework of the symbolic team site Sportarena.com [20] . According to the rating of the analytical company InStat, he became the best defensive midfielder of the tournament, having, in particular, an extraordinary indicator of transmission accuracy - 93% [21] [22] . In terms of overall efficiency, he took 3rd place among all players in the league [23] .
January 13, 2018 there was information about the transfer of Koberidze on loan to the Premier League club, Donetsk “ Olympic ”, for which he had to play until the end of the season [24] . With the team went to the preparatory camp, which took place in Turkey [25] . Nevertheless, according to the results of the viewing, Olympic decided not to continue cooperation with it [26] . According to the player, he was not able to negotiate with Olimpik on wages [27] . In February 2018, he joined the Desna, with which he went to training camp in Turkish Side [28] [29] . On March 8, 2018, the club announced the player’s transfer, the reason for this decision was not explained [27] [30] . After the resumption of the season, he was not included in the application for the starting match of 2018 with the Balkans . Later, in a commentary to Footboom.com, Koberidze explained the situation - he had a conflict with Desna, but by this time they had reconciled and in the near future he would begin training with the team [27] .
In the spring part of the season, Desna became the best league team in terms of the number of points scored, eventually taking 3rd place and getting the right to participate in the playoffs for a place in UPL [31] [32] , in which she beat Kropyvnytska Zvezda (1: 1 away and 4: 0 in Chernihiv ). In both playoff matches, the Desna head coach Alexander Ryabokon applied a dual-base zone scheme, where Koberidze left the starting lineup with Vladislav Ogirey [33] [34] .
On July 25, 2018, he made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League, having played 72 minutes in a home match against Shakhtar Donetsk, which ended with a score of 0: 2 [35] . Before the winter break, which his team left in 6th place, took part in 11 meetings [36] . In just 3 years of playing as part of Desna, he played 75 official matches. In January 2019, he left the team [37] .
It was reported that Koberidze could pursue a career in another club of the Premier League, the Poltava Vorskla [38] . On April 9, 2019, he moved to the Kharkov Metalist 1925 , representing the first league [39] .
Game Style
A tenacious player who sees the field well and has good physical data [11] [13] . The manner of the game resembles Jaba Kankawa [1] [40] . Sports journalist Arthur Valerko described him as one of the few defensive midfielders of the old standard in the Ukrainian First League:
... from colleagues slipping into costlessness and a simplified game, it is distinguished by quality performance. Koberidze diligently does his job, avoids risky decisions that promise pruning or open area. Luke has a high pass culture, of course, he knows how to play easier - through his neighbor, but not a stranger to a quick passover [20] .
