History
Born February 11, 1962 . All his childhood and school years were inextricably linked with music. In school years, Gia four times became the laureate of music competitions in Georgia (in Olympic Games awarded gold medals).
He served in the armed forces in the Northern Fleet ( Gremikha Peninsula); One and a half years, the service took place in the TTB and the remaining one and a half - in the music company. In 1983-1986, after the service, he was invited to work at the Batumi State Philharmonic (he worked as a soloist in the vocal and instrumental ensemble "EGRISI").
Since 1986, he worked in the show group of the musical eccentric and the parody Bim-Bom. After some time, the Bim-Bom group became the laureate of the All-Union contest "Variety Artist", the award was presented by Yuri Nikulin .
In 1989, Gia Gagua, together with three colleagues - Alexander Kalinin, Alexander Ozerov and Vadim Sorokin - leaves Bim-Bom and creates the Ex-BB group. The quartet took part in many festivals: Golden Ostap in St. Petersburg (1990, 1992, 1995), Odessa Humorina (1997), Sea of Laughter in Riga (1997) and in television programs ( Laughing is allowed , Izmailovsky Park "," Full house , etc.). Musical eccentricity and parodies, ironic attitude to themselves and their numbers brought the group popularity and love of the audience. The show group “Ex-BB” performed in military hot spots.
In 1995, Gagua graduated from the Institute of Culture as a director of mass and theatrical performances. In 2003, in Moscow, in the Concert Hall "Russia", the performance of the EX-BB show group was held, almost all the stars of the Russian stage took part in the concert.
Since 2008 - creator and artistic director of the first theater of the musical parody in Moscow of the show group "Ex-BB-Giya". The ex-BB-Gia solo program was a great success with the public. On his anniversary, Gia was awarded the title " Honored Artist of the Russian Federation ."
Since 2010 - lecturer at Moscow State University of Culture and Art (MGUKI), master of the direction of variety art (associate professor, then professor). The pedagogical and creative activity of Gia Gagua is noted by many awards, diplomas and medals. In the same 2010, the artist celebrated his fiftieth anniversary with a concert where many show business stars took part and congratulated.
In 2014, the Ex-BB group celebrated its 25th anniversary in the “Together Again” program.
Currently
2017 was a jubilee year for Gia Gagua - 55 years and 35 years of creative activity of the artist and director.
At present, Gia Gagua is touring a lot with the Ex-BB show group, concerts are held with full-house not only in Russia but also abroad.

Gia Gagua is a regular participant in the World Cup among showbiz stars and politicians. In 2012, in the football team of FC “ARTIST” Gia Gagua became the owner of the Yegor Titov Cup.
