Zhukov Khutor ( ukr Zhukiv Khutіr ) is a forest reserve of national importance, located on the territory of Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district ( Kiev region , Ukraine ).

History
The reserve was created according to the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR on December 26, 1985 No. 451. The boundaries of the object were changed by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of August 20, 1996 No. 751/96.
According to a study (2012) by Andrei Plig, inexpedient reforestation logging is carried out in the reserve, while partially or completely destroying the centenary forest. [1] . According to a study (2013) S. Efimenko and A. Litvinenko, according to the cadastral map, land plots were issued on the territory of the reserve, contrary to the law [2] . In 2015, Andrei Pligoy discovered logging in a nature reserve of 44.7 hectares.
Description
The environmental object was created to protect valuable natural complexes in southern Polesie. The reserve occupies partially squares of 5–9, 11, 14–26, 28 of Irpenskoye lesnichestvo in the territory of Buzovsky and Mikhailo-Rubezhovsky village soviets - on the left-bank above-flood terrace of the Bucha River ː between the village of Kozintsy in the north and the Bucha River in the south. The reserve also includes the mouth of the Mokraya River (the left tributary of the Bucha River) with a pond system. Lowland (eutrophic) swamps are present along the banks of the streams and the tributary of the Buch River.
The nearest town is Kozintsy and Mikhaylovka-Rubezhovka ; city - Kiev and Irpen .
Nature
The landscape of the reserve is mainly represented by mixed forest. The vegetation is represented by pine , oak- pine, oak and hornbeam- oak forests, as well as alder forests . The vegetation of lowland (eutrophic) wetlands is represented by the alder forest. The age of trees in some areas of the oak-pine forest is 150 years. In addition to the dominant species, there are warty birch, Norway maple, ash. The grass layer in the oak and oak-pine forests is represented by the dominant species of the lily of May , in the oak-hornbeam - smyt ordinary , hairy sedge , European hoof . Blueberries are common. About 600 species of higher vascular plants grow in the reserve. 9 species are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine ː long-leaved pollen head , meat finger-red root , egg-shaped stash , real nesting , winter hibernation , two-leaved lyubka , green-colored lyubka , yearling .
In the reserve there are forest species of animals: roe deer, elk, wild pig, fox, hare, fox. Large trees give the opportunity to settle the largest woodpeckers in Europe - the black woodpecker (desired) .
