Chernyshev studied at Omsk school number 134, and then at the Omsk State School of Olympic Reserve. The athlete's coaches were Irina Kosterina, Natalya Roshchina, Valery Bachin . In 1998, Chernyshev became a member of the Russian national swimming team [4] .
