The son of a priest. He was educated at the Shuisky Theological College (1822–1828), Vladimir Theological Seminary (1828–1834) and the Moscow Theological Academy (1834–1838), which he graduated from as a master (his master's work “Ambrose, Bishop of Mediolansky” was published in the Orthodox Review ”Only in 1861, in No. 4 and 5). He began to teach a course in philosophy and literature at the Pskov Theological Seminary , but in October 1839 he was transferred to the Moscow Seminary , where he was a professor until 1868.

During the 30 years of his professorship, he taught many different subjects in different classes: mathematics, physics, then - logic, Latin and Hebrew, and finally, "moralizing theology." In the autumn of 1845, he was appointed assistant rector for the academic part. Since 1846, in addition to moralizing theology, the doctrine of the religions and the duties of elders, he began to teach homiletics, and since 1854, the doctrine of schisms.

When in 1844, in connection with the withdrawal of the Moscow seminary from the Zaikonospassky monastery, a seminary church was created, Aleksinsky became its first priest - ordained December 25, 1844 as priest of the church of St. Nicholas at the Moscow seminary

Since that time, his teaching activities have been devoted to theology in a wide variety of forms. <...> From that time on, Alexinsky’s enormous influence began on that part of the clergy of Moscow and the Moscow diocese that had left the Moscow seminary. For almost a quarter century, Aleksinsky was in the hands of special education and the initial leadership of those who hold clerical positions, the fact that he was a shepherd of future shepherds ”

In 1868, he left teaching and until the day he died in the dignity, Archpriest was rector of the Resurrection Church in Gonchary [1] [2] . In 1870, he was elected confessor of the clergy of the Rogozh deanery and remained with him until the end of his life.

His brother-in-law was the MDA professor E.V. Amfiteatrov .

He was buried at Pyatnitsky cemetery [3] .
