“ Let It Go ” (in the Russian version of “ Let It Go and Forget it ”) is a song from the 2013 Disney animated film Frozen . Words and music were written by husband and wife Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez . In the cartoon, the song was performed by Elsa , voiced by American actress and singer Idina Menzel ( Anna Buturlina in the Russian dubbing).

Also Lopez and Anderson-Lopez wrote a pop version of this song (with shortened lyrics), which was recorded by Demi Lovato and which was shot a video clip.
In addition, versions of this song in at least 24 other languages were recorded for film releases in various countries [1] .
The song reached number 5 on the American Billboard Hot 100 chart (in the version of Idina Menzel) and won both the Academy Award for the best song for the film (in 2014) and (in 2015) [2] .
According to the International Federation of Phonogram Manufacturers , the song “Let It Go” (again performed by Idina Menzel) in 2014 sold digitally in 10.9 million copies, becoming the fifth best-selling digitally song of that year [3]
