Phospholipase A1

Phospholipase A1 ( EC 3.1.1.32 , English phospholipase A1 ) is a hydrolytic enzyme, one of the types of phospholipase that catalyzes the process of elimination (cleavage by hydrolysis) of the acyl chain of the phospholipid in the sn-1 position. Under the action of phospholipase A1 on the phospholipid, 1-lysophospholipid and fatty acid are formed . Phospholipase A1 is an active component of hemolytic snake venom .
