Ksyr-Pata [2] [3] (also Kuru-Uzen , Ksero-Potam [3] , Karavayda [4] ; Ukrainian Kuru-Uzen , Crimean-Tat. Quru Özen, Kyuru Ozen ) - a river on the southern coast of Crimea . The length of the river channel is 9 km, the catchment area is 14.4 km² [4] , the average long-term flow at the Solnechnogorsk gauging station is 0.022 m³ / s [5] , and there are 5 nameless tributaries at the river [4] .

Title
The name Ksyr-Pata means " dry river " in Greek . The name Kuru-Uzen in translation from the Crimean Tatar language also means “ dry river ” ( kuuru is dry, ozen ( Uzen in the southern coastal dialect) is a river) [6] [7] .
Geography
The source of the river is located on the southeastern slope of the mountain iala Demerdzhi at an altitude of 500 m [8] . It flows mainly in the south-east direction [2] . It has no tributaries except ravines in the upper part [8] . Ponds are organized on the river [2] . It flows into the Black Sea in the southwestern part of the urban-type Solnechnogorskoe [8] ; 0.5 km west of the mouth of the Ulu-Uzen Vostochny River [2] .
In the upper part of the river, the banks are covered with a rare forest, in the lower part - a rare shrub [8] . The Ksyr-Pata river dries up in most of the year and is watered after heavy rains in the winter-spring period, sometimes in the summer [8] .
Near the mouth of the river crosses the highway R-29 ( Alushta - Sudak - Feodosia ) [2] .
