Vallenato ( isp. Vallenato ) - the Colombian national musical genre .
In 2006, works in the genres of valenato and cumbia were together singled out in a separate nomination for the Latin Grammy Award.
The UNESCO International Organization has included the vallenato in its “Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in Need of Urgent Safeguarding” [1] .
