Ceremony
For the first time in the history of the Tony Award, an award was presented in the category " Best Play ".
During the ceremony, numbers from the productions of “High Button Shoes”, “Make Mine Manhattan” and “Look, I'm Dancing!”, As well as personal numbers of artists and singers [1] were presented.
This time, the winners were awarded gold bracelets with the names and category name (for women) and a personalized gold letter (for men) [2] .
