Biography
Born in 1907 . He began to fight in 1924. He became a master of sports of the USSR in 1936. His trainer was Andersen A.I.
He lived in Rostov-on-Don, was a member of sports clubs - Soviet employees (1926), Dynamo (1928), and Fighter (1937). Four times spoke at the USSR championships in classical wrestling. He was the champion of the USSR in 1926 and 1937, the 2nd prize-winner in 1928 and 1936.
After the career of a fighter, he was on the coaching job. He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1957.
V. A. Sokolov died in 1979 (according to other sources in 1978) [1] . A memorial plaque was installed on the house where he lived in 2003 [2] . [3]
