History
The construction of the plant was one of the All-Union shock Komsomol construction projects of the USSR [1] . The head of the Komsomol headquarters of the construction site is N. Serbin. For the great services of the Komsomol builders, by the resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR of February 12, 1958, the NKGOK was named after the Lenin Komsomol. In 1959, the plant went into operation.
Processing plant No. 1 has been in operation since 1959, factory No. 2 since 1975. The plant’s design capacity in 1985 amounted to 30 million tons of raw ore, 13.1 million tons of concentrate , and 9.9 million tons of sinter .
The initiative “For the best concentrate and agglomerate in Ukraine” was born here. For the first time in domestic practice, NKGOK obtained concentrate with an iron content of 65%, and the pilot plant has mastered the production of high-quality blast furnace raw materials - sorted stabilized agglomerate.
Since 1996, NkGOK has been part of the Kryvyi Rih State Mining and Metallurgical Complex Krivorozhstal [2] .
Feature
The raw material base of the plant is made up of quartzites from the Novokrivorozhskoye and Valyavkinskoye deposits located in the central part of the southern region of the Krivorozhsky iron ore basin . The first, second, and fourth ferruginous horizons are productive, oxidized up to 300 m in the near-surface zone. Deposits are developed by an open method, the maximum size of a piece of ore is 450-1200 mm. Ore is supplied to processing plants by rail. On average, NKGOK produces 15.2 million tons of ore per year.
Stocks of raw materials as of January 1, 2003 (per month):
- 6.687 million tons prepared for disclosure;
- 2.866 million tons are ready for excavation;
- secured to the extraction of 2.5 million tons
The technological scheme of enrichment of plants No. 1 and No. 2 includes three stages of grinding and four stages of magnetic separation . At each stage, waste is received, and the intermediate product is processed further. As a result, from ore with a mass fraction of total iron of 34.37% and magnetic iron of 25.33%, a concentrate with a mass fraction of iron of 65.5% and a moisture content of about 10% and an agglomerate with a mass fraction of iron of 53.36-54.13% are obtained. On average, the plant produces 6.7 million tons of concentrate and 6.5 million tons of agglomerate per year.
The technology is being improved, the plant is being reconstructed [3] . A promising project is the production and production of high-quality iron ore concentrates from magnetite quartzites and the improvement of the technology for the enrichment of hematite quartzites in order to obtain concentrates with a mass fraction of iron of up to 64%.
Equipment
Crushers of the type KKD-1500/180, KSD-2200, KMD-2200 were installed at the plant, and mills MChTs 3.6x5.0 at enrichment plants; MSR 4,5x5,0; MShTs 4.5x5.0; magnetic separators type PSM-120/250; vacuum filters Du-100. As of January 1, 2003, specific electricity consumption per 1 ton of concentrate amounted to 116.2 kW / h, per 1 ton of sinter - 55.19 kW / h.
Structure
Now NKGOK is part of the structure of the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih plant, being part of the crushing and concentration division. It consists of a crushing plant, ore dressing plants (ROF) No. 1 and No. 2, three sinter plants, a slurry farm.
Staff
The company has grown many innovators and advanced workers, whose experience has become a mass asset and the pride of production. Among them are Hero of Socialist Labor, an excavator driver, one of the instigators of the "millionaire" competition - I. Stadnichenko , N. V. Solovyov and S. M. Bedriychuk, A. I. Ryabovolik sinter, and Chaika S. F. locomotive drivers and Boyko P. I., driver Dementienko N. L., Honored Rationalizer of the Ukrainian SSR locksmith Trofimenko I. P. and many others. Workers dynasties of the Bredikhins, Ratushnyhs, Stadnichenko, Kapitanchukov, Osipovs were formed at the plant - there are 66 of them at all.
