Description

The settlement is an exclave and is located 6 km from the main part of the district. It borders on almost all sides with the Buinsky district ( Alsheevsky and Chuvash-Kishchakovsky rural settlements) and only in the extreme south - with the Ulyanovsk region ( Tsilninsky district , Elhovooozersky rural settlement ).

The territory of the settlement is stretched along the railway line " Sviyazhsk - Buinsk - Ulyanovsk ", includes a station with a village and a railway with protective forestation on both sides of the village to the border of the Ulyanovsk region.

In the south, the territory of the settlement is crossed by the river Tsilna .

The height of the territory above sea level: from 81 m at the river. It is strong up to 110+ m in the north.

Transport

There is a railway station on the territory of the settlement Chipmunks station, there is a railway station bridge over Tsilna.

1.5 km to the west of the village is the highway R-241 " Kazan - Buinsk - Ulyanovsk". There is an access road from it to the village and further to Alsheevo (4 km from the village) - Yaskul (6 km) - Old Merty (8 km) and Rakovo (5 km).

Distances from the village - in a straight line (and along the road): Old Drozhzhanoe (district center) - 43 (50) km to the west, Buinsk - 23 (25) km to the north, Ulyanovsk - 49 (58) km to the south, Kazan - 125 ( 160) km to the north.

History

The status and boundaries of a rural settlement are established by the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan dated January 31, 2005 No. 21-ЗРТ “On Establishing the Borders of Territories and the Status of the Municipal Formation“ Drozhzhanovsky Municipal District ”and Municipal Units in Its Composition” [2] .

Village

The village has 216 yards. In the village there is an initial cultural center, a kindergarten, a library, a FAP, an elevator, a farm, a tank farm, the production base of Tatavtodor JSC, a metal reception base [11] .
