Biography
Early years
Born on October 21, 1961 in Chernigov [2] . As a child, he played with future footballers Oleg Kuznetsov and Valentin Buglak for the team of the 6th Housing Office . He studied in the regional youth sports school . The first trainers were Leonid Rynsky and Miroslav Mandrik. As part of the national team of the Chernihiv region (players born in 1961-1962) played in the championship of Ukraine. The team played together with him Svyatoslav Petrenko , Viktor Rudoy , brothers Sergey and Vladimir Pricinenko [3] .
Player Career
At the age of 17, he began to play for the Chernigov Desna . He made his debut in the USSR Championship on April 26, 1979 in a match with Bukovina . He played 19 matches in his first season. The opportunity to gain a foothold in the main team was due to the regulations of the championship, according to which in the Second League matches the team of the home team should have a player no older than 18 years throughout the game. In the "Desna" spent 6 seasons, winning the silver medal of the USSR championship in 1982 [4] .
After graduating from the institute in 1985, he was drafted into the army, played for SKA Kiev. After completing the service, he moved to Vinnitsa Niva at the invitation of the former coach of Desna Efim Shkolnikov . In 1987 he returned to Chernigov, where he became one of the leaders of the Desna and captain of the team [5] .
In 1992, he received an offer from the Rivne Veres , who played in the Premier League of the Ukrainian Championship , but didn’t stay in Rivne for a long time and two months later ended up in the Niva, which he knew, which was fighting for a promotion in the class. Together with the team won the "gold" of the First League and the right to play the next season with the strongest teams in the country.
In the spring of 1995 he moved to Zvezda-NIBAS , however, he spent only two games as part of the Kirovograd club, starting the next championship already in Chernivtsi Bukovina . In the 1996/97 season, he returned to the Desna, with which he won the second league gold medal. He completed his football career in 2000.
Career Coach
After completing his speeches, he worked for some time as an assistant to the Desna head coach, and from 2002 to 2005 he headed the amateur football club Nezhin . During 2005–2007, he worked as a trainer-teacher at the Sports School FSO Spartak. In 2008 he was appointed as the head coach of the women's football club Legend (Chernigov). Twice in a row he won with the club gold medals of the Ukrainian Championship ( 2009 , 2010 ) and twice brought silver to Chernigov. In 2009, the Legends footballers made a “golden double”, adding the Ukrainian Cup to the championship [2] . Due to the unsuccessful start of the team in the 2012 championship , Sergei Sapronov was dismissed from his post as head coach of Legends of his own free will [6] , after which he returned to work as a coach at the FSO Spartak [2] .
In 2013, he headed the women's national team of Ukraine (U-15) [2] , and the next year he returned to work with the Chernigov Legend. The second attempt was not very successful - the Chernihiv football players received only the “bronze" of the national championship and lost in the Cup final to the Kharkov " Zhilstroy-1 ". However, due to the successful work with the national team, according to the results of the season, Sergey Sapronov was included in the list of applicants for the title of best coach in women's football in Ukraine [7] .
At the beginning of 2015, he left the post of head of the Chernigov Legends [8] , and on April 17, 2015, at a meeting of the FFU Executive Committee, he was approved as head coach of the Ukrainian women's team (under 17 years old) [9] .
