Michelle Thorne ( born January 15, 1985, USA ) is a public figure from Germany (lives in Berlin) of American origin, an activist in the field of free data ( Mozilla Foundation and Creative Commons ). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Critical Social Thought and German studies from Mount Holyoke College , USA, where she defended her dissertation with honors authorship, originality, and American copyright. Thorne grew up in Heidelberg , Germany. She worked as an international project manager for Creative Commons from 2007 to 2011 [1] and joined the Mozilla Foundation [2] .

Mozilla Foundation
In 2011, Thorne hosted the Mozilla Festival on Media, Freedom and the Web, featuring the launch of the HTML5 Framework Media Popcorn 1.0 [3] . She also chaired the Mozilla Festival in 2012, at which the popcorn was released from the beta stage. Her reward from the Mozilla Foundation in 2012 was $ 101,451 [4] .

In 2009, Thorne co-authored a research paper [5] , in which the authors analyze the cases shown and identify the key problems of specific studies of the Creative Commons project.
Negotiations and Interviews
