DescriptionThe total length of representatives of this genus ranges from 5 to 9 cm. The head is short, massive. The eyes are medium sized. The trunk is large, in most species rounded with short but powerful limbs. The background color is mostly dark with large bright spots located randomly (in some species) or symmetrically on the sides (in others).
LifestyleThey live in tropical forests in humid places near water bodies. Active mainly at dusk. They feed mainly on insects.
These are oviparous amphibians.
DistributionFound from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh to the Philippines and the Great Sunda Islands, as well as in China and the Korean Peninsula.
