“Crane Reserve” ( Ukrainian: Crane Reserve ) is an ornithological reserve of national importance located in the Sumy region ( Sumy region , Ukraine ).

History
The reserve was created in 1982 .
Description
The conservation object was created to protect the breeding sites of the gray crane in the floodplain of the Psel river. The reserve occupies squares 41, 48, 57, 62, 69 of the Nizovskoye lesnichestvo on the territory of the Nizovskogo village council - southwest of the village of Niza. To the south are the local reserves of the Vorozhbyansky and Galinoe bogs .
The nearest town is Niza , the city is Sumy .
Nature
The landscape of the reserve is represented by meadows, sphagnum bogs and deciduous (oak-pine) forest. Rare species of Siberian iris , cyanosis blue , club-shaped clown , Valerian officinalis grow here. Red - book species of Luba bifolia , Palatine root May , Swamp fen .
There are wild pigs, European Sarna, pine marten. The Red Book species of the wildlife of the reserve: gray crane , black stork , field harrier , gray shrike , garden dormouse , stag beetle , swallowtail , moss bumblebee . It is a nesting place for many birds.
