The disciple of Jean-Paul Laurent . In the 1880s exhibited as a painter, but to the greatest extent gained fame book illustrations - first of all, to 22 novels by Jules Verne (more books by Jules Verne illustrated only Leon Benet ), starting with the book "The Found from the Dead" Cynth " " (1885) and up to " The Unusual Adventures of the Barsak Expedition , written by Michel Vern based on his father’s drafts and published in 1919. In total, Roo left about 1,200 illustrations for Jules Verne [4] . Among the other works that appeared in Georges Roux's design are “Treasure Island” by R. L. Stevenson , the historical novel by Jean Ekard “King of Camargue”, the writings of Alfons Daudet and others.
