Biography
Robert Casa began performing at international competitions since 2001. At the junior level, Casa achieved his first success in 2004, becoming the European champion. In 2006, Robert became the silver medalist of the European Youth Championship. The following year, Casa became the two-time European champion among youth, becoming the first in the individual championship and relay race. In 2008, the Hungarian Pentathlete won his first adult award. At the European Championships in Moscow, Kasa finished third, losing only to two Russian athletes. In October of that year, Robert became the winner of the final stage of the World Cup. In 2011, Casa for several months won the World Cup in London, and also became the champion of Europe and the world in the relay. In personal competitions within the framework of the world championship, the Hungarian athlete was close to getting on the podium, but took only 5th place. In July 2012, Casa became the silver medalist of the European Championship , losing quite a bit to the Italian Riccardo De Luca .
In 2012, Robert Casa participated in the Summer Olympic Games in London . After fencing and swimming in individual competitions, Kasa was in the 6th place, and the successful completion of the show jumping, when the Hungarian pentathlete scored the maximum number of points (1200), allowed Robert to climb to third place and start in the combine with only 9 lag behind the leader seconds. The harvester was unsuccessful for Robert. Having shown one of the worst results, Casa rolled back to 12th place.
At the 2013 European Championships, Casa again became the silver medalist in the individual championship, losing only to his compatriot Adam Maroshi . In August 2013, Robert became the two-time relay world champion . In July 2014, Casa was twice close to being among the winners of the largest competitions, but Robert became 5th at the European Championships and took 4th place in the world championship. At the European Championships 2015 in the British Bath, Casa took 5th place. This result allowed him to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics .
