Download is a Canadian electronic music band formed by Dwayne Goettel and Kevin Key of Skinny Puppy in 1994.

History
Initially, the group included Phil Western from Off Gone and Mark Spybey from Dead Voices on Air, but since then the group has changed and the only permanent members since the death of Duane Goettel are Kevin Key and Phil Western .
Download music has post-industrial roots, based on the genesis of the Skinny Puppy group, but it also shares a common stylistic language with artists such as Aphex Twin and Autechre .
Various musicians were invited to create the compositions, including Genesis P-Orridge , Anthony Valcic, Bill Van Rooy, and Ken Marshall. Download's early work often included vocals and lyrics, but from album III , after Mark Spyby left the band in 1996, their work became strictly instrumental.
