Title
Named for outcrops of Devonian limestone and stone scrap.
Now the village of Kamennoye is built up with expensive houses, so people jokingly call this cozy and beautiful place "the valley of the poor."
Geography
Located on the banks of the Matyra River ( Matyr reservoir ). Named along rocky shores.
The composition of the streets: Renaissance, Forest, Embankment, Field, Rowan, Rural, Central.
On the outskirts of the village is a spring, the holy source of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God.
History
The village of Kamennoye appeared at the end of the 17th century on the site of the Slavic village of the 12th - 14th centuries . Founded by small service people. According to 1724, it was known that there was a church in Kamenny. [2] In 1863, the stone St. Nicholas Church (now regional monument of architecture ).
