Biography
Born on September 7, 1925 in the village of Kuznal [1] of the Votsk Autonomous Region .
Member of World War II. In December 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army as a private , fought in artillery. [2] He received his first Order of Glory of the 3rd degree, being already a sergeant , on June 22, 1944 - this feat is described in the documentary novel by S. P. Serykh “Immortal Battalion”.
On August 25, 1944, Kobrov was awarded the Order of the Red Star for fighting on the right-bank Ukraine.
On January 20, 1945, an award sheet was signed on awarding I. Sh. Kobrov the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree [3] - for crossing the Danube River on the night of December 4-5, 1944. However, he was able to receive a reward for this feat only in 2016. [four]
He finished the war a few months before the victory, having been recalled from the front to study. After training, he served in the army for almost thirty years, having retired with the rank of colonel .

Islan Ishmatovich Kobrov died on September 29, 2019. He will be buried on October 2 at the Zanderu cemetery in Jelgava
