Monaco 1901 - 1st international chess tournament, held from February 3 to March 1 in Monte Carlo .

  • 14 participants
  • if the game results in a draw, each of the opponents is awarded ¼ points and the game is replayed, and the winner in this case receives another ½ points, that is, only ¾ points; if the 2nd game also ended in a draw, both opponents received another ¼ points, that is ½ points for 2 draws.
