Kodymsky district ( Ukrainian: Kodimsky district ) is an administrative unit in the north of Odessa region of Ukraine . The administrative center is the city of Kodyma .

Geography
The area with an area of 81.8 thousand ha. It borders in the north with the Vinnytsia region, in the south with the Kotovsky district, in the east with the Baltic region, in the west with Moldova ( Transnistria ).
More than 20% of the area is forested areas, the main tree species is oak, ash, acacia, maple.
10 small rivers flow through the district: Kodyma - a tributary of the Southern Bug; Savranka, Honorovka - South Bug basin; Bilochi flows into the Dniester ; Meistrinka, Molokish, dry Molokish, Windows, Rybnitsa, Kuchurgan - the Dniester basin.
Population
The population of the district is 29350 people (data for 2010, the statistical department of the Kodym Central District Hospital), of which the urban population is 12 128, the rural - 22 660.

Transport
The railway line Odessa-Kiev passes through the district, there is a response at the Slobodka station towards Moldova, the main passenger directions are Odessa, Kiev, local trains Odessa-Vapnyarka-Odessa, Vinnitsa-Odessa-Vinnitsa regularly go from local trains. Sloboda school. It was founded in 1900. Nearby is a monument to fallen soldiers.
