The plant is located in the municipality of Trillo of the province of Guadalajara , 110 km north-east of Madrid .
The NPP includes one pressurized water reactor (PWR) from Kraftwerk Union with a capacity of 1066 MW [1] .

Incidents
In April 2003, a nuclear reactor was stopped at the station, after an accident in the primary circuit during pipeline repairs.
In total, more than 20 accidents occurred during the operation period at a nuclear power plant, and although their level does not exceed 2 on the INES scale , it nevertheless causes negative sentiments among citizens due to proximity to the capital of the country, Madrid [2] .
