Baron Greigmile

Baron Craigmile from Craigmile in the county of Aberdeenshire is a hereditary title in the United Kingdom Peer system . It was created on May 7, 1929 for the liberal politician and judge Thomas Shaw, Baron Shaw (1850-1937). On February 22, 1909, for him, according to the Law of Appeal Jurisdiction of 1876, the title of life peer was created as Baron Shaw from Dunfermline in Fife County. He served in the House of Commons of Great Britain from Hawick Burgs (1892–1909), served as the Solicitor General of Scotland (1894–1895) and Lord Attorney (1905–1909), and served as Lord of Appeals in the House of Lords from 1909 to 1919 year .

After his death in 1937, the title of lifelong peer (Baron Shaw) was interrupted, and the title of Baron Craigmile was inherited by his son, Alexander Shaw, 2nd Baron Craigmile (1883-1944). A liberal politician, he served in the House of Commons of Great Britain from Kilmarnock-Burgs (1915-1918) and Kilmarnock (1918-1923), and also served as the supreme sheriff of the County of London in 1931-1932.

As of 2009, the holder of the baronial title was the grandson of the latter, Thomas Columbus Shaw, 4th Baron Craigmile (born 1960 ), who became his father's successor in 1998 .
