Description
Pollinators and phytophagous plants of the genus Ficus ( Ficus , Mulberry family ) of the following species: Ficus hemsleyana ( Moraceae ) [1] . It differs from closely related species by three dorso-apical spines on the anterior glens and 7 ventral lamellae on the appendages of the mandibles. Body length about 1 mm. Paws are 5-segmented, antennae 10-segmented. The species was first described in 1969 as part of the genus Liporrhopalum under the original name Liporrhopalum hemsleyanae Hill, 1969 , and after the generic synonymization it was given the modern name [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] .
