Biography
In 1945 he graduated from the Bucharest Conservatory . His teachers were: Mikhail Zhora , Jon Nonna Otecu , Ionel Perly , Konstantin Brailoyu. Later cultivated by Alfred Alessandrescu and Theodore Rogalsky. In 1941-1947 he worked as a music editor on Romanian radio. In 1949-1953 he was a researcher at the Institute of Folklore, in 1950-1955 he was the musical director of the Lark ensemble ( roman. Ciocârlia ). Since 1963 he taught at the Bucharest Conservatory. He was engaged in the processing of folk songs, wrote music for plays and films.
His daughter Korina Kyriak (born 1949) - a famous pop singer.
