Kholmovskoye is a lake in the system of Verkhopui lakes in the north-west of the Velsky district of the Arkhangelsk region . The lake is connected to the Verkhopuisky lake, the inflowing and outflowing river is Puya . The lake stretches from south to north for about 3.9 kilometers, the maximum distance between the shores is about 500 meters in the northern part of the lake. The lake is deep, often there are depths greater than 10 meters. The shores are hilly, high, covered with pine forest. The lake is picturesque and often visited by fishermen. The predominant fish in the catch is perch and roach . Pike , ruff , burbot and bream are also found.

On the left side, the Marfin stream and the Bolshaya Semenovka river flow into the lake [2] .
The reservoir area is 1.1 km², the catchment area is 401 km² [3] .
Settlements
In the southern part of the lake, at the expiration of the Puya River, is the village of Palkino of the Lipovskoye municipality .
