Baigurin (Baigarin, Baigoraev), Alzhan Makhmudovich ( July 10, 1896 , Torgai region - October 10, 1938 , Almaty ) - Kazakh scientist, doctor, teacher. Member of the Alash movement . He graduated from the Kostanay Russian-Kazakh school (1910), a real school (1916), Central Asian University (Tashkent, 1925). During the First World War he was among the Kazakhs called up for black work, he served in the department of foreigners near the city of Minsk . At the First All-Kazakh Congress, he was nominated to the All-Russian Muslim Council . In 1922-1937 he worked as the head of the department at the editorial office of the Ak Zhol newspaper, in the People's Commissariat of Health of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . In December 1937 he was repressed. November 6, 1956 rehabilitated.
