neon (library)

neon is a library for accessing servers using the HTTP and WebDAV protocols using the C programming language . This free software is licensed under the LGPL .

To create a secure HTTPS connection, neon can use OpenSSL or GnuTLS cryptographic packages, and use Libxml or Expat libraries to parse WebDAV XML .

Among other things, neon is used in the Subversion version control system, [1] when creating an abstraction layer for the GnomeVFS file system, as well as when running the davfs2 network file system.
