Baka Petrovna Delyanu ( rum. Baca Deleanu , nee Rivilis ; 1921 , Vad-Rashkov - 2005 , Chisinau ) - Moldavian writer and translator of fiction. The wife of the poet Liviu Delyanu .

Biography
Born in Wad Rashkov in the family of the pharmacist Pacey Rivilis. In childhood, she lived with her family in Soroki [1] . With the beginning of the Romanian occupation of the city during World War II, she was deported with her parents to the Olgopol ghetto in Transnistria , where her parents were shot [2] . After her release in 1944, she returned to Soroki, the same year she married the poet Liviu Delyanu.
She graduated from the philological faculty of Chisinau University .
She was engaged in translations of fiction (mainly for children) from Italian , German , French and Russian into Moldavian ( Romanian ) language [3] [4] . After the death of her husband, she compiled and prepared for publication about thirty collections of his literary heritage [5] [6] .
Author of books for children and youth, memoirs, literary criticism [7] . In 2002, for the Romanian translation of the book "The Adventures of Cipollino" she was awarded an honorary diploma of the International Council of Children and Youth Literature at UNESCO [8] [9] . Member of the Writers' Union of Moldova.
She was buried in Chisinau next to her husband [10] .
