Hayk Zavenovich Shakhnazaryan “KADJ” ( July 19, 1993 , Ararat ) is a Russian boxer of Armenian descent. The representative of the first welterweight category since 2012 has been among the professionals. He owned the titles of the Baltic champion according to the WBC , the European champion according to the UBO , the youth champion according to the ICF , and was a contender for the world title according to the IBO .

Biography
Hayk Shahnazaryan was born on July 19, 1993 in the city of Ararat in Armenia , however, at the age of six, he moved with his parents for permanent residence in Samara . He began to actively engage in boxing at the age of thirteen, was trained under the guidance of coach Viktor Petrochenko.
Amateur career
He began his career in amateur boxing, however, he did not perform here for long and did not achieve significant achievements, since from the very beginning he tuned in to professional boxing. He won twice at regional championships, took part in several international class “A” tournaments, and became a candidate for master of sports .
Professional career
He made his debut at the professional level in August 2012, defeating his first rival by a decision of the majority of judges in four rounds. In total, during the year he spent eight fights, won in all. In March 2014, having already had ten victories in his track record, he got a chance to challenge the vacant Baltic welterweight title according to the World Boxing Council . Another challenger was the most experienced Alisher Rakhimov , but Shakhnazaryan knocked him out in the second round [1] .
In April 2014, Hayk Shahnazaryan won the European Boxing Championship, gaining twelve round points over Dominican Republic representative Felix Laura . In the next match, the vacant silver belt of the Baltic champion of the WBC won, this time in the fifth round, he knocked out the Argentinean Ramon de la Cruz Senu. Also this season, he was marked by two victories over Argentine Sergio Mauricio Gil and Mexican Omar Valenzuela - according to the results of the second fight, he won the vacant junior welterweight champion title according to the International Boxing Federation .
The year 2015 was unsuccessful for Shakhnazaryan, in January he boxed for the first time in the USA and suffered the first defeat in his professional career, by unanimous decision of the judges from the Mexican Abner Lopez (73:78, 74:77, 74:77) [2] . In April, he met with the undefeated compatriot Eduard Troyanovsky , while at stake was the vacant world title according to the International Boxing Organization - this time Shakhnazaryan lost by knockout in the eighth round [3] .
Despite two defeats in a row, Hayk Shahnazaryan continues to enter the ring and gain victories. He trained for some time under the guidance of the famous boxer Alexander Zolkin in the past [4] .
On June 9, 2018, he won on the points of the former world welterweight champion American Demarkus Corley. [5] In October 2018, he began working with the famous Belarusian coach Sergei Pytalev who was preparing him for a significant duel with Fedor Papazov. On December 14, this confrontation took place in Krasnodar. Papazov tried to work in the first number, but Shakhnazaryan successfully disrupted Fedor’s attempts to deliver a hard blow. At the same time, Shakhnazaryan’s counterattacks were very effective and, on the whole, working on his feet and in defense put the enemy at a standstill. The fight lasted all 12 rounds at a high pace and according to the results, Shahnazaryan won, becoming the owner of the IBF and WBA regional belts.
