Biography
Schleimer's parents are German-speaking immigrants from Nomad (now in Slovenia ), who moved to Canada at the end of the 19th century.
In 1927 he moved to Ontario, where he began to engage in wrestling at the YMCA club. [2] In 1933 and 1934 he became the champion of Canada. In 1934, he won the Games of the British Empire . In 1936 he confirmed the title of champion of Canada.
He represented Canada at the 1936 Olympics and won the bronze medal in welterweight. This medal was the last for Canada in the Olympic wrestling until 1984.

After the termination of his sports career, he became a coach, and then a sports functionary. Since 1961, he became president of the Wrestling Union of Canada's Amateur Athletes Committee. In the 1970s, was head of the Ontario Wrestling Association.
He died in 1978.
