Biography
Marcus Paulo is the adopted son of Brazilian director Vicente Sassu. In 1967, Marcus made his debut in the telenovela "Terrible Pass", which was broadcast on a TV channel in São Paulo .
Marcus Paulo has been married six times. His first wife is the Italian model Tina Serina (1970-1971), from whom in 1971 the daughter Vanessa Simois was born. The second wife was the journalist and actress Marcia Mendes (1976-1977). In 1978 he marries the journalist Belize Ribeiro. In 1981, he married actress Renate Sorra , from whom in 1981 the second daughter Mariana Simois was born, and in 1984 Renata filed for divorce. The fifth wife of Marcus was actress Flavia Alessandra (1997-2002), and in 2000 they had a daughter, Julia Simois. The last wife of Marcus (since 2006) was Anthony Fontenelle.
Marcus Paulo died early in the morning of November 11, 2012 at his home in Barra . The cause of death was cancer of the esophagus and pulmonary embolism .
